The very next day after returning to the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Mukul Roy had a meeting with Abhishek Banerjee in his office. It was expected that Mukul Roy would be given important responsibility in the party and political analysts believe that Mukul will have a big responsibility in the kind of strategy the Trinamool Congress (TMC) is planning for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. However, in the BJP too, Mukul Roy was given the responsibility of the national vice-president.

Mukul Roy has also been involved in the politics of the Center for a long time. Even before this, he has handled the responsibility of other states while in the Trinamool Congress (TMC). The trio of Mukul, Abhishek and election strategist Prashant Kishor will spearhead the Trinamool Congress’ (TMC) expansion plan. Using Prashant Kishor’s strategy and Mukul’s experience, a plan is being made to build Trinamool at the national level.

Within 24 hours of his return to the Trinamool Congress (TMC), Mukul Roy has also given up the security provided to him by the central government. On the other hand, for the security of Mukul, the state police personnel have been deployed by the Mamata Banerjee government, who have come to Mukul’s residence at Kanchrapara in North 24 Parganas district since Friday night.

According to information received from new sources in the state secretariat, Mukul has been provided ‘Z’ category security by the Mamata Banerjee government, although it has not been officially confirmed yet. Mukul was given ‘Y plus’ category security by the Union Home Ministry, which was increased to ‘Z’ category in March in view of the West Bengal assembly elections.
