Kolkata: An FIR has been lodged against unknown persons in the alleged attack on West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee during the election campaign in Nandigram. A case has been registered against unknown accused under Sections 323 and 341 of the IPC.

West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee is undergoing treatment at the SSKM Hospital. After an X-ray, plaster has been put on the feet of Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee.

The TMC has blamed the BJP for the alleged attacks on Mamata Banerjee. Veteran leaders of the TMC have also met the Election Commission in Kolkata on this matter.

Such an attack calls into question the trust of the Election Commission. Let me tell you that a delegation of Trinamool Congress led by Derek O’Brien met the officials of the Election Commission. At the same time, BJP leaders called the entire incident a drama. The BJP has demanded the Election Commission to release CCTV footage of the case.

On Wednesday, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee took blessings of Lord Shiva by worshiping at a temple in Nandigram.

The incident happened when Mamata Banerjee was with a lot of people. According to Mamata Banerjee, four to five people came and attacked her. During this time there was no security personnel with Mamta. At the same time, after this incident, BJP leaders have targeted Mamata Banerjee on this whole matter.
