New Delhi: It is the wedding season and everyone wants to make the most out of it. While big fat Indian wedding has become a common trend, some are still willing to practice mindfulness by cutting down on wastage and bringing sustainable products in use. Rajivbhai Gohil came up with the idea to of getting an invitation card printed that can be later reused as homes for sparrows and other similarly small birds.

According to The Better India, Shivabhai’s son Jayesh wanted to re-use his wedding cards. Instead of being tossed away as junk, the cards can be used effectively,” he says.

He also added that the family is fond of birds and that there are several birdhouses in their home. “We try to lead an eco-friendly and sustainable life as much as possible. We mostly use earthen pots and place drinking water for birds in it,” he explains.

After the wedding, the cards can be used as nest for birds. This will not just provide a place for the birds but will also be a good use of the money spent in procuring those cards.
