Kolkata: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath slammed his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee at a BJP rally in the Jalpaiguri district on Wednesday.
“If BJP comes to power, good governance will be implemented in Bengal like in Uttar Pradesh,” Yogi Adityanath claimed.
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister attended a BJP meeting at the Mal area in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal on Wednesday.
“Right now Mamata Banerjee is so angry that she can even send someone to jail for saying Jai Shri Ram,” he said.
“Why be angry with Ram? The one who went to fight with Ram lost. The defeat of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in Bengal is certain,” he added.
The slogan of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ has been influential in West Bengal politics for several years.
“Didi is not with the farmers and women of West Bengal. She is with those who cause unrest,” Yogi Adityanath said.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is regularly campaigning for the BJP in West Bengal.
“In four years, 4 million people living below the poverty line in Uttar Pradesh have been given government housing. When the BJP comes to power in West Bengal, the people of West Bengal will get government housing in the same way,” Yogi Adityanath claimed.
“There are 25 days left until the results of the vote are announced. After that, criminals will be punished in West Bengal just like in Uttar Pradesh,” he added.
Yogi Adityanath also lashed out at the West Bengal government saying, “Many central projects are not being allowed to be launched in the state. When BJP comes to power, all central projects will be launched in West Bengal.”
