Kolkata: Voting is to be held tomorrow under the second phase of the West Bengal Election 2021. The most high-profile seat in this phase is Nandigram in the East Medinipur district.
In this seat, there is a tough fight between West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari.
Before the voting in Nandigram, Mamata Banerjee has played another emotional card by describing herself as a Shandilya Brahmin. The BJP has retorted by asserting that due to fear of defeat, Mamata Banerjee has remembered her gotra.
This statement of TMC President and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was strongly opposed by Union Minister Giriraj Singh.
The campaigning in Nandigram ended at 5 pm on Tuesday evening. In the Nandigram seat, voting will be held in the second phase of the West Bengal Election 2021 tomorrow i.e. on April 1.
