New Delhi: Farmer leaders have reached Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi for the 8th round of talks with the government.
Negotiations have started between the government and farmers sometime from now. However, the farmers are still adamant on their demand. The farmers have made it clear that if their demands are not met then the movement will be intensified.
A farmer leader, who reached a delegation of farmer leaders to talk to the central government, said that we hope that this meeting will be successful in the new year. However, earlier, farmer leader Rakesh Tikait had said that he had no hope from this meeting.
Farmer leaders urge center to telecast talks live
Farmer leaders have demanded the central government to telecast their meeting in the form of the 7th round of talks between the central government and farmer unions to be held today. Leaders of farmer unions have also reiterated that nothing less than repeal of agricultural laws will be acceptable to them.
Before the meeting, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar hoped that a solution would come out today.
