Video: BTS leaves Army bewitched with Black Swan performance on day 3 of The Tonight Show

Oct. 1, 2020, 3:02 p.m.

New Delhi: The South Korean boyband BTS is nowadays everywhere on the internet. The K-pop septet rules social media and their special week on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon worked as a catalyst in their popularity.

On Day 3 of the BTS week, the group performed their ballad Black Swan and it is safe to say that they slew.

The theme for the third day was dark unlike day 2’s warm and bright which was set for Home performance. The members put their best fashion feet forward in all black costumes, leaving Army bewildered.

The performance was an impressive and energized recital of their single Black Swan which was a part of the band’s album Map of The Soul: 7.

While all the members looked aesthetic, it was the golden maknae who stole the show. Jungkook is channeling his inner fashionista in the ongoing Tonight Show week as he was seen donning man bun similar to day 1’s idol look.

After the performance, BTS joined show’s host Jimmy for candid interview and games session. The members reminisced their memories with Fallon recalling band’s debut on Tonight Show two years ago. Suga talked about how he had mentioned his dream to  going to Grammys which eventually came true. Jimin then said that now they want to win a Grammy while RM shared fond memories of watching the show during his childhood.

“Winning a Grammy in such difficult times could give greater hopes and dreams to a lot of people. Especially our ARMY and Jimmy,” Namjoon added.

The boys also talked about their current global hit ‘Dynamite’ which has smashed almost all the records of music industry.

“People around the world are going through a difficult time because of the pandemic. We also felt discouraged by the situation. So, we took on a new challenge which was Dynamite. This project was not only for us but also for our fans, who we wanted to energise and give joy to during this difficult period,” J-Hope said.

The broadcast also featured talk segments with BTS, where the group talked about their upcoming album “BE,” which will be released on November 20.

So far, BTS have performed Dynamite, Idol, Home, and Black Swan in three days of The Tonight Show with Fallon. It would be interesting to see what all BTS will bring to the table during the upcoming days of their special week.
