Kolkata: Political violence has reached a peak in the state following the death of four youths in the CISF action to control violence and curb violence during the fourth phase of West Bengal Elections 2021 on Saturday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has blamed West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for this entire incident.
In a rally organized in Basirhat South on Sunday, the Home Minister said in his address that “some youths tried to take away the weapons of the CISF jawans. The CISF jawans were forced to open fire and this led to the deaths of 4 youths. I want to ask, why did the youth dare to do so.”
Accusing Mamata Banerjee, Amit Shah said, “A few days ago there was a meeting of Mamata Didi in the same seat. Didi publicly declared that the youth and women should come forward, surround the CAPF and attack them. Because of Mamata Banerjee, those 4 youth died.”
Amit Shah further said in his address, “On the same morning in the same assembly, a BJP worker was shot dead by TMC goons in broad daylight. Didi you shed tears for these 4 people. I want to ask about that BJP worker. Do you have any responsibility for the 5th person who died?”
Targeting TMC, Amit Shah further added, “A few days ago a TMC leader made a statement that Dalit society people are beggers by nature. What are your people saying, Didi, who is living proudly? Calling them beggars, insulting them.”
He added, “Didi opposes CAA because refugees are about to get citizenship. They are worried that the infiltrators will be offended. We will withdraw the proposal that Didi brought against CAA. CM will launch refugee welfare scheme for refugees . They will be given an assistance of Rs. 10,000 annually. “
Attacking Mamta Banerjee, Shah said, “Didi is furious and every day she only says that Amit Shah should resign. I will resign when the public tells me, but you will have to resign on May 2.”
