Uunchai Box Office Day 4: Sooraj Barjatya’s film sees a drop, collects just Rs 1.50 Cr

Uunchai Box Office: The multi-starrer film Uunchai after gaining decent numbers since the last three days, saw a drop on its fourth day. Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, the film was released on November 11. As per reports, the film on its day 4 collected approx Rs 1.50 crore. This makes the box office total 11.66 to 12.16 Crore nett.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa, and Boman Irani in the lead role. Uunchai also stars Parineeti Chopra and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles.

The film earned Rs 1.81 crore on its first day of release despite having a small number of theatres. Positive word-of-mouth gained the audience’s approval gradually throughout the weekend. On Day 3, November 13, the film’s box office earnings soared. According to trade estimates, it made Rs 5.05 crore in a single day. As a result, the total amount collected is now Rs 10.50 crore. On Sunday, Uunchai had a 50.63 per cent overall Hindi.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Rajshri has brought family audiences back to cinemas… Was getting difficult to get this segment to visit cinemas lately, especially in post-pandemic times and more specifically for mid-range films… But #Uunchai has done the trick.”

Sooraj Barjatya, a director of family dramas, is the man behind the camera for Uunchai. After directing Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in 2015, which starred Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, he makes a comeback with this movie. Uunchai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, and Anupam Kher, hit theatres on November 11, 2022.
