UPSC Civil services: Window to change center opens tomorrow

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission will open the window from July 12, candidates can change the exam city till July 19, 2021.

UPSC has also issued an official notification in this regard. In such a situation, the candidates appearing in the examination can check the detailed notification on the official website

“The Commission has now decided to give an opportunity to the applicants of these two examinations to submit their revised choice of Centre. The requests of the candidates for change in their Centres will be considered against the capacity intimated by the Centres for accommodating the candidates,” the UPSC has said.

UPSC has said in its official notice that, keeping in view the large number of candidates appearing for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2021, the Commission has recently released a notification for the Civil Services Examination in Almora, Uttarakhand, Srinagar, Uttarakhand, Nashik, Maharashtra and Surat, Gujarat. It has been decided to operate four additional centers. Simultaneously, it has been decided to give an opportunity to the applicants of Civil Services Prelims and another examination to submit the revised choice of their center.

Their requests for change of centers will be considered on a “first apply-first allotment” basis. Apart from this, there will be no change in all the conditions and eligibility criteria mentioned earlier. Furthermore, candidates who are not interested in changing their center need not log in to the online center system change center system.

The process of changing the exam center will be completed in two phases. According to this, after July 19 in the first phase, the second phase will start from July 26, 2021. Candidates can make changes in the center till July 30, 2021 (06.00 PM). Whereas candidates are advised to visit the official website of UPSC for more details. “The candidates are advised to visit the website and submit their choices of Centres of the above Examination if required,” candidates have been informed.

Candidates had applied for UPSC Prelims 2021 exam online till 24 March and after that, the preliminary examination was to be held on 27 June 2021, which is now announced to be held on 10 October, by UPSC.
