New Delhi: When will schools reopen in India in 2021 is the most common question asked by students across the country these days. Students from Karnataka, Punjab, Bangalore, Bihar, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have been flooded with questions like ‘When will schools reopen in our state’ on Twitter.
The Covid-19 graph in the country is on a decline these days and states are expected to resume physical classes for students of schools and higher educational institutions soon. Schools and colleges across the country were closed since March 2020 following a nationwide lockdown imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
While some schools, colleges reopened in November 2020, many others resumed offline classes from February 2021 but were closed again after the second wave of corona.
Schools will open in UP from July 1
Now permission has been given to open schools up to class 1-8 in UP. While giving permission to open the school, the Yogi government has said that the schools up to class 1-8 will open from July 1.
However, these schools will be opened for administrative work only. Along with this, the presence of teachers has been allowed as per the requirement.
The government has clearly said that the ban on the attendance of students will continue till further orders.
What will teachers do after coming to school?
Instructions have also been given regarding what work will be done in schools during this period. Like the previous session in government schools, this time also free textbooks will be distributed to the children.
Online classes have also been suggested under e-Pathshala so that there is no loss of education of the children, so that they can study at home less than work. Schools have also been directed to be groomed and repaired under Operation Kayakalp.
Children may not come to school, but they will get the benefit of mid-day meal. Food distribution to the children will be done by calling the parents.
