Hyderabad: The Police on Friday barred YSR Telangana Party chief YS Sharmila from leaving her residence in Hyderabad. The YSRTP leader was heading to hold protest against the KCR-led Telangana government over alleged TSPSC paper leak.
Sharmila hit out at Chief Minister KCR and asked the reason behing stopping her to stage protest in her own lawn.
“KCR is going to make all attempts to thwart those reports that are not in his favour. YSR Telangana party is winning hearts and gaining people’s trust. Why am I not allowed to protest in my own compound,” said the YSRTP leader.
She added, “You are imposing Section 144 in residential areas so that there is no protest and we do not go against the government. There is no democracy in Telangana.”
The YSRTP chief has demanded for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) euquiry in TSPSC paper leak saying that SIT enquiry is not enough.
“Well there is a paper leak. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) board is involved. We do not know who all are involved. An SIT enquiry will not suffice. We demand enquiry by CBI and sitting judges otherwise truth will not come out.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Delhi Police had detained Sharmila during a protest against the KCR government in Delhi where she had alleged irregularities in Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
Meanwhile, the government aspirants have come down to roads to protest in the state of Telangana after the TSPSC question paper was leaked. As per media reports, the news was confirmed by the police.
