Top police, admin officials, Imam meet amidst security concerns ahead of Eid-ul-Azha

New Delhi: In the view of the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Azha, a peace committee meeting was held in Idgah in Lucknow. The agenda of the meeting was to ensure security arrangements ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

The meeting marked the presence of many top officials including Idgah Imam Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahli. Apart from him the meeting was also attended by Lucknow District Officer, Municipal Commissioner of Lucknow, Joint Commissioner of Police Law and Order Piyush Mordia, DCP West, ADCP West and ACP Bazar.

Apart from this, all the elite people of the city were also present. An appeal was made to all the people who came to the meeting to maintain mutual brotherhood.

This is important as the country is currently experiencing the backdrop of instances that have been stacked at the top shelf of national headlines. Be it the comment made by Nupur Sharma on Prophet Muhammad or the ISIS style killing of tailor Kanhaiyalal in Udaipur or the killing of Amravati chemist Umesh Kohle. These comments have been condemned across party line. The demand to bring justice to the killers of both the citizens have been raging, but the progress is being made with dure course of law. These matters are under investigation and sub judice.

On the other hand the matter of Nupur Sharma has revealed two clear sides who are seeing this matter from different perspectives. The judiciary has made some intense comments in the Nupur Sharma case. Following this the judges were trolled on the social media. The matter became so intense that Justice Pardiwala had to make a public appearance and call out these extreme trends that the citizens are getting involved and launching personal attack on the judges.
