New Delhi: The statement of activist Disha Ravi’s parents has come out after she got bail in the toolkit case. They said that this order has reinforced their faith in the judicial system.
Disha Ravi, who was arrested in a toolkit case earlier this month, was released from Tihar Jail on Tuesday night.
“Justice has been done. My daughter did nothing wrong. We have faith in our country’s judiciary,” Disha’s father Ravi Annappa said.
“We are not associated with anyone. We are only asking this basic question about climate. I am an Indian, we have to respect the rules and regulations of the country,” he added.
Disha Ravi’s mother Manjula said that her faith in the judiciary has been restored. Manjula further said that her daughter had done nothing wrong.
“I am happy that he got bail. It has strengthened our faith in the system,” she said.
The 22-year-old climate activist was arrested by a cyber cell team of the Delhi Police from Bengaluru on February 13 and later brought to Delhi. The cyber cell had earlier registered an FIR against the “pro-Khalistan” creators of the “toolkit” for waging a social, cultural and economic war against the Indian government.
