1909: Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra death anniversary

Madan Lal Dhingra was an Indian revolutionary, pro-independence activist. While studying in England, he assassinated William Hutt Curzon Wyllie, a British official.

1957: Actor Sachin Pilgaonkar was born

Sachin Pilgaonkar, often known mononymously by his screen name as Sachin, is an Indian Marathi-language and Hindi-language actor, director, producer, writer, and singer who has directed and acted in several Marathi films of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

1967: Actress Supriya Pilgaonkar was born

Supriya Pilgaonkar is an Indian actress who has worked in several Marathi and Hindi films and television series. She is married to actor Sachin Pilgaonkar and made her debut as Chameli in his superhit film Navri Mile Navryala. She is the winner of Nach Baliye 1.

1978: Actress Disha Vakani was born

Disha Vakani is an Indian film and television actress. She is known for playing the role of Daya Jethalal Gada on the sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

1947: The Radcliffe Line was revealed

The Radcliffe Line was the boundary demarcated between the Indian and Pakistani portions of the Punjab Province and Bengal Presidency of British India. It was named after its architect, Cyril Radcliffe, who, as the joint chairman of the two boundary commissions for the two provinces, received the responsibility to equitably divide 175,000 square miles (450,000 km2) of territory with 88 million people
