THIS big city imposes total lockdown to control coronavirus pandemic

New Delhi: The speed of the coronavirus pandemic is increasing once again across the country.

A total lockdown of 10 days has been announced in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. The lockdown will be from April 9 from 6 pm to 19 pm. Essential services will continue to operate.

The Raipur district administration has informed the media while making the announcement. Petrol pumps will only be allowed to deliver petrol to government vehicles, ambulances, e-pass holders and those moving from one state to another without stopping in Chhattisgarh.

The morning and evening delivery times will be fixed for milk and newspapers. Students will be exempted from examinations approved by the government. Doctors and vegetable shops will open in time. There will be relaxation for those going for vaccination.

An order issued by the Raipur district administration stated that coronavirus-positive persons over 55 years of age would not be allowed home isolation. If people of this age are found corona positive, they will be rushed to the hospital by ambulance and then treated there until they get it right.

According to the order of the district administration, as per the Corona Guidelines, the Containment Zones will be set up in the entire city as before. In these zones, the general public will be allowed to come for essential work from 7 am to 10 am.

However, people associated with essential services will be allowed to follow the Corona Guidelines.
