Third round of talks between Russia, Ukraine ‘probably in the nearest time’

Kyiv (Ukraine): Ukraine has not achieved desired results in the second round of talks with Russia, according to Ukraine’s presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak. The sides will next meet for the third round “probably in the nearest time.”

“The second round of negotiations is over. Unfortunately, the results Ukraine needs are not yet achieved. There is a solution only for the organization of humanitarian corridors,” Mykhailo Podolyak tweeted.

Talks between delegations of Russia and Ukraine took place at an undisclosed location on Ukraine’s border. This was the second round of talks between the two nations.

In a short video clip, Ukrainian delegation was seen entering a conference room where the Russian delegation was seated. The two teams shook hands before sitting down to begin their talks.

Meanwhile, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold talks with him. “If you don’t want to leave now – sit down with me at the negotiating table, I’m free. But not by 30 meters, like with Macron, Scholz – I’m a neighbor! I don’t bite. I’m a normal man, sit down with me, talk to me, what are you afraid of?” the Ukrainian President said.
