There’s little space for diplomacy in Putin’s mind: Ukraine’s FM Dmytro Kuleba

Kyiv (Ukraine): Russian President Vladimir Putin has little space for diplomacy in his mind, said Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

“There is little space for diplomacy in Putin’s mind,” he told a US policy forum, CNN reported.

“We have to keep the channel of diplomacy open,” while being aware of “the attempts of Russia to publicly manipulate this track,” Kuleba noted.

“We are talking, but Russia still puts forward demands which are unacceptable for us. We will not make any compromises on the existential issues for Ukraine,” he added.

Russian forces launched military operations in Ukraine on February 24, three days after Moscow recognized Ukraine’s breakaway regions, Donetsk and Luhansk as independent republics followed by the announcement of a “special military operation” to “demilitarize” and “denazify” Ukraine.
