TCL launches Alcatel TKEE Tablets for Kids: Should you consider buying it?

New Delhi (Anish Yande): TCL has announced the launch of a new series of Alcatel Tablets designed for kids. The Chinese smartphone maker would constitute the Alcatel TKEE Mini, a TKEE Mid, and the TKEE Max tablets. The tablets are meant for kids with ages starting from 3 years to 13 years.   

TCL has stated that the tablets are ‘specially designed for kids. These tablets would create a ‘Learning through play’ environment for children.

Prices of TCL Alcatel TKEE tablets:

The Alcatel TKEE tablets are equipped with Eye-Care displays for kids along with a foldable back stand. The TKEE tablets come with a durable bumper case for the tablets. Alcatel has the Kidomi app exclusively for the tablet. The app provides more than 3,000 games and 2,500 videos for kids. 

The tablets lets parents set limits for usage and parental controls. 

The Alcatel TKEE Mid comes with price tags of Rs 8699, and the Alcatel TKEE Max comes with a price tag of Rs 9,999. 

Specs of the TCL Alcatel TKEE tablets:

Alcatel Mid comes with an 8-inch HD display with a screen resolution of 1,280×800 pixels. The tablet is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8766B processor. The Alcatel Mid packs a 4,080mAh battery and runs on Android 10 OS. The tablet comes with 4G connectivity. 

The sole variant of the Alcatel Mid comes with specs of 2 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Alcatel Mid storage can be expanded by up to 256 GB. 

Alcatel TKEE Max comes with a 10-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1,280×800 pixels.  The TKEE Max runs on a MediaTek MTK8167B processor. The tablet comes with a 4,080mAh battery under the hood. TCL has claimed that the TKEE Max lasts more than 400 hours on a single charge. The TKEE Max runs on an Android 10 OS. 

TKEE Max comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
