While talking to News18 Bangla, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) said, “Yes, I have agreed to the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to reveal the name of the director now. It will take some more time for everything to be finalised.”
Director and the cast is not yet confirmed but will be revealed soon. Fans are super excited about this one as ‘Dada’ has a huge fan following forever. In the film, fans will be able to see the iconic moments of his life from the seminal, shirtless moment on the balcony at Lord’s, to the inglorious Chappell years.
Last year, on Neha Dhupia’s show, Sourav Ganguly was questioned, ‘if someone to play him in his biopic, who it should be?’ He had no answer, then Neha suggested Hrithik Roshan, on this Sourav, said, “But he’s got to get a body like me, first. A lot of people would say the way Hrithik’s body is, how good-looking he is, and how muscular he is, people would say ‘Aree, you’ll have to get a body like Hrithik.’ But, Hrithik will have to get a body like me before he starts.”
Audiemce love to see cricketer’s biopics, MS Dhoni’s biopic was a super hit, while former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin had his too. There was also a documentary movie on Sachin Tendulkar. Fans are currently waiting for ’83’, a story of 1983 World Cup victory.
