Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Punjab Police seeks Lawrence Bishnoi’s custody, court reserves order

Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was produced in the Patiala House Court by the Delhi Police at the end of his remand period. Lawrence Bishnoi is undergoing trial in connection with an Arms Act case.

In the court, the Punjab Police submitted that they want to interrogate Lawrence Bishnoi as part of their investigations into the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.

Advocate Vishal Chopra, appearing for Lawrence Bishnoi, opposed the Punjab Police application and submitted that there is a security threat to the Punjab-born gangster.

“We have apprehension that the Lawrence Bishnoi may be killed in a fake encounter in Punjab,” Chopra said.

Advocate Vishal Chopra further added, “I am not opposing virtual interrogation and investigation. We are just opposing physical transit remand of him (Lawrence Bishnoi) to Punjab.”

Advocate Vishal Chopra submits before the court that Punjab Police can arrest Lawrence Bishnoi in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case if needed but in Delhi only.

The court reserved the order on the Punjab Police application seeking transit remand of Lawrence Bishnoi in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case.
