New Delhi (Anish Yande): Samsung Galaxy A22 would be launching soon in Indian markets. The upcoming Samsung device is set to be introduced in the mid-range segment of smartphones with 5G connectivity.

According to tipsters, the Galaxy A22 has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards. The Samsung device has the model number SM-A225F.  The listing of the Samsung Galaxy A22 indicates key specs such as a quad rear camera setup with a primary sensor of 48 megapixels and a MediaTek Dimensity processor. 

Samsung Galaxy A22 would be launching in 4G and 5G variants. Samsung Galaxy A22 is a successor to the Samsung Galaxy A21s, launched in May 2020.

Samsung Galaxy A22 features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.  Galaxy A22 comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9. The Samsung device comes with a refresh rate of 90 Hz.

The Galaxy A22 features a quad rear camera setup with a primary sensor of 48 megapixels and an ultrawide angle lens secondary sensor of 8 megapixels. The quad-camera setup of the Samsung device comes with a 2-megapixels depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 and a 2-megapixel macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture.

The rear camera setup of the Samsung Galaxy A22 features are LED flash, HDR mode, Touch to focus, Continuous Shooting, Exposure compensation, and more.

The selfie snapper of the Samsung Galaxy A22 is a 13-megapixels sensor.

Samsung Galaxy A22 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. The Samsung device packs a 5,000 mAh battery, with fast charging support of 18W. Samsung Galaxy A22 would run on Android 11 OS, out-of-the-box.  

Connectivity features of the Samsung Galaxy A22  include a 4G VoLTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1,  a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.
