New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan on Wednesday received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Taking to Twitter, the actor shared the news with his fans and wrote, “Took my first dose of vaccine today.” Pictures of the actor at a hospital in Mumbai have already been going viral on the internet. Now, Salman has confirmed that he has got vaccinated.
On Wednesday evening, the 55-year-old actor was spotted at the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra. Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani also shared the video of the arrival of Salman Khan at Lilavati Hospital.
Earlier on Tuesday, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt too received his first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine. Sanjay took to Twitter where he posted a picture of himself getting the jab at the city’s BKC vaccine center. He can be seen smiling at the camera in the picture while receiving the vaccine. “Received my first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine today at the BKC vaccine center. I want to congratulate Dr Dhere and his entire team for doing such a wonderful job! I have so much love and respect for them and their hard work. Jai Hind!” Sanjay tweeted.
Recently actors like Saif Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Anupam Kher, Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Sharmila Tagore, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Satish Shah, Johny Lever and Rakesh Roshan had also received Covid-19 vaccine. The second phase of the COVID-19 vaccination drive, which began on March 1 in India, witnessed a good turnout. This phase is for people aged 60 and above, and those in the 45-59 age bracket with comorbidities. Including the Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi. Amit Shah, S Jaishankar, CM Nitish Kumar, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, and Naveen Patnaik have also taken their first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
