Russia: Vladimir Putin may step down as President due to THIS reason

Nov. 22, 2020, 3:05 p.m.

Moscow: Elected as the lifelong president of Russia, Vladimir Putin is one of the most powerful men in the world.

However, a serious illness may force Vladimir Putin to step down from his post.

According to media reports, Vladimir Putin is being urged by his family to take retirement from the post of President of Russia due to health concerns.

Vladimir Putin’s 37-year-old girlfriend, Alina Kabaeva, and her two daughters are pushing him to step down. A New York Post report quoted the political scientist of Moscow, Valery Solovei, as giving this information.

“There is a family, it has a great influence on him. He intends to make public his handover plans in January,” Solovei was quoted as saying by The U.S. Sun.

The political scientist claimed that Vladimir Putin may be suffering from Parkinson’s disease. He claimed that the president has recently been seen displaying symptoms of the disease.

Observers studying recent footage of Vladimir Putin said that his legs appeared to be shaking and he looked in pain while pressing the armrest of the chair. A report by The U.S. Sun claimed that his fingers were also seen to have twitching, as he held a pen and held a cup to give him painkillers.

Solovei said that Vladimir Putin will soon appoint a new prime minister. The new prime minister will be groomed to be Vladimir Putin’s successor.

Meanwhile, the Russian president’s staff has claimed that Vladimir Putin’s plans to step down are just rumors.

Vladimir Putin has introduced a legislation which is being rushed through the Russian parliament. This legislation guarantees Vladimir Putin legal immunity from prosecution and state perks until his death.

“This is the practice that is being implemented in many countries of the world, and it is quite reasonable,” Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov was quoted as saying by The U.S. Sun.
