New Delhi: Many questions arise about nepotism in the Bollywood film industry. Many stars have come under the target of nepotism since the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Nepotism has also fallen on the Kapoor kids and meanwhile, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of late actor Rishi Kapoor and actress Neetu Kapoor, has openly spoken on it. She has defended her brother Ranbir Kapoor and cousins Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan. She clearly stated that both of these are due to their talent in the industry.
Riddhima Kapoor has recently given her interview to the Times of India. In this interview, she spoke openly about nepotism. She said, “Advantage kya Hota hai (What’s advantage)? We have grown up with the name and have got used to it. Besides, you might get a lot of eyeballs due to your family name when you are starting a brand, but later the brand speaks for itself.”
Speaking about herself and if her family name helped her build her own brand, she said, “Whether you do acting or fashion or anything else, even a star kid has to do something in life. People are going to talk irrespective of what you do, the best you can do is do your job and let it do the talking.”
Riddhima further added, “If I were to become an actress, I’d be told that it was given since my family is into films. Ranbir, Karisma, Kareena are star kids but their work has spoken for itself; their success comes purely from their talent. They are superstars only because they are great at what they are doing.”
Riddhima Kapoor is a famous jewelry and fashion designer. She is the elder daughter of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Riddhima got married in year 2006 to her childhood friend Bharat Sahni, today, they both have a daughter.
