Kundan Singh, New Delhi: In the midst of the coronavirus crisis, the country is in full swing for the 72nd Republic Day. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the challenge in front of the common people, as well as the administration, is organizing safe Republic Day celebrations.
The security system is being chalked all over the country on Republic Day. Like every year, this year also Delhi Police is preparing for Republic Day. Delhi Metro has also made special preparations for the security system and issued advisory for passengers.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has said that all metro parking lots will be closed from 6 am on January 25 to 2 pm on January 26. Delhi Metro has also issued some guidelines regarding major metro stations by tweeting. Accordingly, the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhavan metro stations will remain closed till 12 noon on Republic Day. On January 26, passengers will be able to use the Central Secretariat metro station only as an interchange between Line 2 and Line 6.
Also, DMRC said that entry and exit at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg metro stations will be closed from 8.45 am to 12 noon on 26 January. Services on the Huda City Center-Samaypur Badli metro line will be partially operational on January 26.
Big things about DMRC’s advisory
– On January 26, the Central Secretariat station will be used only for passenger interchange lines 2 and line 6.
– Entry and exit at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg metro stations will be closed from 11:00 am to 12 noon on January 26.
– Services on Huda City Center-Samaypur Badli metro line will be partially regulated on January 26.
– Entry and exit at the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhavan metro stations will remain closed till 12 noon on Republic Day.
