New Delhi (Anish Yande): Realme is set to launch its next mid-range smartphone with 5G connectivity on April 21. The Realme 8 5G is an upgraded variant of the Realme 8, which was launched in India in March 2021.
A Realme device with 5G connectivity has been spotted recently on certification sites. The Realme device has received a listing on the US FCC certification site. According to the listing, the device packs a 5,000mAh battery and weight of 185 grams.
The specs listed in the FCC certification are similar to the Realme V13 launched in China in March. The listing hints at the imminent launch of the Realme 8 5G.
Specs and features of Realme 8 5G:
Realme 8 5G features a 6.4 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Realme device comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel density of 405 ppi. Realme 8 5G comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 83.9 percent and a 90 Hz refresh rate.
Realme 8 5G features a quad rear camera setup with a primary sensor of 48 megapixels with an aperture of f/1.8. The Realme device comes with an ultrawide angle lens macro sensor of 2 megapixels with an aperture of f/2.4. The quad-camera setup of the Realme 8 5G also consists of 2 megapixels cameras, depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4.
The selfie shooter of the Realme 8 5G is a 16-megapixels sensor. Realme 8 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
The Realme device packs a 5,000 mAh battery, with fast charging support of 30W DartCharge. The Realme 8 5G would run on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 OS, out-of-the-box.
Connectivity features of the Realme 8 5G include a 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
