Ranveer Singh seeks permission from NCB to join Deepika Padukone’s questioning

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh has allegedly requested Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) the permission to be present while the interrogation about Bollywood drug case with Deepika Padukone. He says that his wife sometimes suffers from anxiety attacks.

Deepika Padukone along with other actors including Rakul Preet and Sara Ali Khan are called up on Saturday by NCB for interrogation regarding the drugs nexus in Bollywood.

According to sources, Ranveer Singh has submitted an application to NCB granting the permission to be present at the office while his wife is being questioned. He said that he knows the rules and regulations and he is not supposed to be there but has requested to be present there pointing that his wife sometimes suffers from anxiety and panic attacks.

Deepika is severely criticized in connection with drug nexus which has emerged during the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Rakul Preet and Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash will also be joining the investigation.

After the drugs angle came into limelight following actor Sushant Singh Rajput death, NCB began the inquiry. The agency has already arrested Rhea Chakraborty who was prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Besides Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda and several drug peddlers have also been sent to judicial custody by the NCB. 

Karishma Prakash’s WhatsApp chats included conversations about drugs with one ‘D’ and central agency wanted to find out who this person was, NCB sources stated.

While shooting for Shakun Batra’s next film in Goa along with Ananya Pandey and Siddhant Chaturvedi, Deepika with husband Ranveer returned Mumbai on Thursday night.
