Singapore: India ace shuttler PV Sindhu is having ‘rollercoaster of emotions after clinching her maiden Singapore Open title on Sunday. Sindhu defeated China’s Wang Zhiyi in the women’s singles category.
Sindhu took to Twitter and shared her happiness over the win. She wrote, “It was like a rollercoaster of emotions, but managed to pulled through and win the championship! Thank you for all your support, it means so much to me,” said Sindhu in a tweet after the game.”
Thanking her coach for the support, Sindhu added in her post, “Special thanks to my coach Park Tae-Sang, fitness trainer Srikanth Madapalli and my physio Ms Evangeline who’s always been there in my ups and downs. Always special to win in Singapore. Time for a much-needed breather before the big one in Birmingham. Love and light.”
This is third title of the year for the double olympic medalist. Earlier, she has got her hands on the title of Swiss Open 2022 and women’s singles title at the Syed Modi International tournament.
