Chandigarh. The convoy of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is increasing day by day due to the work being done by the party for the people of Punjab.
The party gained strength in the presence of AAP state president and MP Bhagwant Mann and party’s Punjab affairs in-charge Jarnail Singh, when former Congress leader Gursewak Singh Aulakh and film actress Tejinder Kaur (Teji Sandhu) joined the AAP at the party headquarters here on Monday.
Gursewak Singh Aulakh, from Khadoor Sahib constituency is the former influencer of the Congress Party and ex-Sarpanch. He is from the medical profession. Meanwhile Tejinder Kaur. from Ludhiana East, an actress in the Punjabi film industry, who has also worked in Bollywood films and Hindi TV serials, joined the AAP.
She is also a poet, film writer and film director. Also, a social worker, Tejinder Kaur runs an NGO. Welcoming them into the party, the AAP leaders said that today the people see AAP as the only credible alternative that can change politics in the state and make the lives of the people better, similar to the change brought about in Delhi by AAP’s national convener and CM Arvind Kejriwal.
They said that the AAP will experience a wave of support in the upcoming 2022 elections as a massive number of people were committing to working for the party. “The people have been suffering with the repeated mis-governance of the Congress and the Akalis.
Wanting to be part of the change themselves, people are joining the AAP to support and bring them to power in the upcoming 2022 elections,” they added. On the occasion, the personalities who joined the AAP said that whatever responsibility the party entrusts to them, they would work towards strengthening the party with full vigor and devotion.
