Post festive season, Delhi sees uptick in COVID-19 cases

Delhi reports 62 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths in the last 24 hours.

New Delhi: As many as 62 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths have been reported in the national capital in the last 24 hours, Delhi State Health Bulletin stated on Friday.

Delhi has 371 active cases currently. At least 56 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate currently stands at 0.12 per cent.

Testing of samples for coronavirus continue in the capital. In the last 24 hours, 49,874 tested were conducted. 

As per the health bulletin, 156 COVID-19 patients in Delhi are in home isolation and 153 are being treated in hospitals.

So far, 14,40,332 people in Delhi have tested positive for COVID-19. The deadly virus has claimed lives of 25,093 people in the capital.
