PM Modi turned 70 on Thursday.
PM Modi is the first Prime Minister of India who was born after independence. All the Prime Ministers before PM Narendra Modi were born before 1947.
PM Modi became Prime Minister in 2014 at the age of 64. There has been a wave of greetings and congratulations on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday since morning.
The leaders of all the political parties of the country are congratulating PM Modi on his birthday through social media. Several international leaders have also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday.
“Esteemed Mr Prime Minister, Kindly accept my heartfelt congratulations on your 70th birth anniversary. Under your leadership India is successfully moving along the path of socio-economic, scientific and technical development. It is hard to overestimate your personal contribution to the strengthening of the special and privileged strategic partnership between our countries,” President Putin said in a post on social media.
“I value the kind, friendly relations that have developed between us. I look forward to continue constructive dialogue with you and work closely together on topical issues of the bilateral and international agenda,” he added.
“From the bottom of my heart, I wish you good health, happiness, well-being and every success.”
Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli has congratulated PM Narendra Modi on his birthday. Nepali Prime Minister Oli has wished good health and happiness for Narendra Modi.
“I hope the two countries work well together. The two countries will work together to strengthen relations. Let us tell you that there has been a situation of tension in Nepal and India for the last 4 months,” KP Sharma Oli tweeted.
Prime Minister of Finland Sana Marin wished PM Modi a happy birthday. She said that there is a lot of potential to take the relationship between the two countries further.
Noting that both countries are big supporters of the rules-based international order, she said that Finland is an active member of the European Union (EU) and that India will be successful in the success of the summit of India and EU countries in July.
