New Delhi (Anish Yande): Petrol and diesel prices across India stayed stable through the week. On Monday, the fuel prices remained unchanged following a surge in prices in the previous weeks. The prices of petrol decreased by 21 paise per liter and diesel prices fell by 20 paise within the week.
Petrol prices in India and international markets:
According to data available on the Indian Oil Corporation’s (IOC) website, the price of petrol in Delhi is at Rs 90.78 for one liter. Diesel prices in Delhi are at Rs 81.10 for one liter.
The prices of petrol and diesel differ from state to state. The taxes levied by state governments include 60 percent of the retail selling price of petrol. The taxes levied by state governments include 54 percent of diesel.
In international markets, prices of crude oil were down on Monday. The prices were relatively stable after four sessions after volatility in the markets. The giant container ship stuck in the Suez Canal continued to affect the supply of oil products across the world.
Petrol prices in Indian cities:
Prices of petrol in Sri Ganganagar are at Rs 101.43 per one liter and diesel prices were at Rs 93.39 per liter. In New Delhi, prices of petrol are at Rs 90.78 per one liter and rates of diesel are at Rs 81.10 per liter. In Mumbai, petrol prices are at Rs 97.19 for one liter and diesel prices of Rs 88.20 for one liter.
In Chennai, the prices of petrol are recorded at Rs 92.77 for one liter and prices of diesel are at Rs 86.10 per liter. In Patna, petrol prices for one liter are at Rs 93.11 per liter and diesel prices are at Rs 86.35 per liter.
In Thiruvananthapuram, prices of petrol are at Rs 92.66 per one litre and rates of diesel are at Rs 87.14 per litre. Prices of petrol in Lucknow are at Rs 89.01 per one litre and diesel prices were at Rs 81.50 per litre.
