New Delhi: Pakistani influencer Dananeer Mobin, more commonly known as the Pawri Girl, is now an actor. Yes, that’s right. While we have seen Dananeer’s singing videos go viral on the internet earlier, the Pawri Girl has now made her acting debut. She is currently starring in Sinf-e-Ahan. The drama stars the likes of Sajal Ali, Yumna Zaidi, Syra Yousuf and Ramasha Khan. According to a leading Pakistan entertainment portal, Dananeer’s father will also be making a cameo in the drama.
Dananeer, when in frame, knows how to own it. And this time as well, she has made the most use of the screen space she has been given. A particular scene from the first episode featuring Dananeer is going viral. In the said scene, she is seen protecting herself from the evil eye. While protection from evil eye is nothing new, but doing this to self is somewhat hilarious.

In February 2021, Dananeer posted a random video on social media, sending internet into frenzy. The video had no more than a bunch of friends on a trip and Dananeer saying, “Yeh Hamari car hai, aur ye ham hain, aur yeh hamari Pawri ho rhi hai.” Had it not been for her accent, the video wouldn’t garnered the fame that it did. The viral video triggered memes, jokes and even a viral song mash-ups, courtesy Yashraj Mukhate. From police forces to brands, her epic line transcended border and offered some respite to the tense situation between the two neighbouring nations, that too, amid Covid-19 pandemic.
