New Delhi: Renowned Bollywood choreographer and director Remo D’Souza is celebrating his 47th birthday today. Born on 2 April 1972 in Bangalore, Remo educated in Jamnagar, Gujarat, but for the following passion, he left his studies and ran away from home to Mumbai. Remo was fond of dancing since childhood, but he never took dance training. Remo considers Michael Jackson as his idol in dancing. Remo has struggled a lot in his life. Choreographer Remo D’Souza always considered dance as his passion. Remo’s real name was Ramesh Yadav. He changed his name to Remo after coming to Mumbai. Remo, who came to Mumbai to make a career, has spent many nights on the streets remaining hungry. Remo married Lizelle when he was facing struggles in his career. Remo always considers his wife Lizelle as a superwoman because she always stood with him no matter what the situation is.
Later in his journey, Remo won a dance competition, after which he got a chance to dance in Aamir Khan and Urmila Mantodkar’s film ‘Rangeela’. After this film, he started assisting choreographer Ahmed Khan. A year later he choreographed Sonu Nigam’s album ‘Deewana’, which proved to be a super hit. After then he never looked back. Apart from films, Remo D’Souza is a popular face on television too. Remo, in the year 2013, directed the dance-based movie ‘ABCD’. This film did a tremendous collection. In the year 2015, the sequel of this film ‘ABCD 2’ was released. Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhudeva appeared in the lead role in the film. This film was also super hit and became the third highest-grossing film of the year 2015.
