Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor got separated while ‘Jhootha Kahin Ka’ shoot, know the full story here



New Delhi: Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor has recently appeared on the singing reality show Indian Idol 12 as a guest. Neetu has given many super-hit films with husband Rishi Kapoor. In the show, she shared the beautiful moments of her love life with the legendary late actor. However, she also spoke about that not everything was smooth in their relationship.In the episode, the veteran actress opened up on the time when she “broke up” with Rishi Kapoor. She shared that during the shoot of the song “Jeevan Ke Har Mod Pe” from Jhootha Kahin Ka film, the two had ended their relationship. 

Neetu has shared a collage of videos on her Instagram account that shows how she recounted the same incident that late husband Rishi once narrated. In the video, Rishi is heard saying, “When the song Jhootha Kahi Ka was beng picturised, Neetu and I were not on talking terms. It took fours days to shoot the song. But when you seen on the screen, it seems we were deeply in love.” Neetu also shared her own clip from Indian Idol 12 visit in which she is heard saying, “In the song, we are dancing and romancing but in real, we had broken up. I used to cry in the make-up room,” Neetu further added that the situation was so bad that her doctor had to visit her. “I was being injected but as soon as the shot was ready, we were back on the sets as if nothing happened.Sharing the video on Instagram, Neetu wrote, “Same story narrated by both of us on different occasions.”

Neetu also shared an interesting story, that during the shoot of the song “Parda Hai Parda” from Amar Akbar Anthony, the couple fought and were not talking to each other. Neetu further added, by the end of the song, she had to give Rishi a rose, she revealed that she really wanted to hit him with flower but the shot was romantic.

Talking about the love life of the couple, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor married in 1980 and have two children together actor Ranbir Kapoor and jewelry designer Riddhima Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor died on April 30, 2020, after a struggle against cancer. He went to New York for treatment and stayed put for nearly a year, getting treated for the disease. On the Workfront, Neetu will next be seen in the family entertainer Jug Jugg Jeeyo, which also features Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani and Anil Kapoor. She was last seen in the 2013 movie Besharam alongside Rishi Kapoor and their son and Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor.
