Mushfiqur Rahim, Kathryn Bryce voted ICC players of the month

New Delhi: The International Cricket Council has released the list of winners of the Player of the month awards for the month of May, which has once again been dominated by Asian players. Started from January 2021, this award has been given 5 times so far in which 3 times Indian, once Pakistani and Bangladeshi player has won.

In January, the Indian team’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, in February Ravichandran Ashwin, in next month Bhuvneshwar Kumar, in April, Pakistan captain’s Babar Azam has won the award.

For the month of May, the ICC had nominated Hasan Ali of Pakistan, Pravin Jayawickrama of Sri Lanka, and Mushfiqur Rahim of Bangladesh. The ICC has given Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim the Player of the Month award for the month of May. Mushfiqur Rahim was given this award for his outstanding performance during the limited-overs series played against Sri Lanka.

The Bangladesh player Mushfiqur scored 237 runs at an average of 79 in the 2-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, due to which the Bangladesh team defeated the Sri Lankan team in the ODI series for the first time in the history of ODI cricket. Worked to win the match 2-1.
