Mumbai: IPL betting racket busted … Former Ranji Trophy player, 2 others arrested

Deepak Dubey, Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have arrested former Ranji Trophy player Robin Morris in connection with betting during the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

Along with Robin Morris, 2 of his associates were also arrested during the raid. They have been identified as Virendra Kulkarni and Rahul Bhimanna.

Two laptops, 3 iPads and 14 mobiles have been recovered from them. Robin Morris has played in the Ranji Trophy as well as other domestic tournaments for Mumbai. 

The accused were conducting a betting racket on the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). All the accused have been sent to police custody till Monday by the court.

The accused were arrested during a raid by a team from the Versova police station.
