New Delhi (Anish Yande): Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi announced record sales for its latest flagship, Xiaomi Mi 11. The Vice President of Xiaomi, Zen Xuezhong, announced the record sales of Mi 11. The phone had gone on sale in China on Friday.
Zeng Xuezhong, the President of Xiaomi’s mobile department, stated that more than 3.5 lakh units of the Mi 11 were sold upon its launch. The phone went on sale in China at midnight on January 1st.
Xuezhong stated that 8.5 lakh units of the phone were sold in seven hours after the launch.
Xiaomi noted these record sales after only five minutes of Mi 11 going on sale. Sales of Xiaomi Mi 11 are more than 1.5 billion yuan, which amounts to Rs 1,670 crores, within 5 minutes after launch.
Specs of Xiaomi Mi 11:
The Xiaomi Mi 11 comes with a large 6.81-inch AMOLED display with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz. The Mi 11 display has a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels.
Mi 11 is one of the first phones to sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. The phone has a primary rear camera with a 108-megapixel sensor and a secondary sensor of 13 megapixels ultrawide sensor. The rear camera setup also contains a 5-megapixel macro lens.
The selfie snapper is a 20-megapixels shooter located in the punch hole layout on the front.
The Mi 11 packs a 4,600 mAh battery with a 55W wired charging support. The phone also comes with 50W wireless charging support and 10W reverse wireless charging support.
The cameras support 8K video recording at 24/30fps as well. At the front, there is a 20MP camera.
Prices of the Mi 11:
Xiaomi Mi 11 comes in a base variant of 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The base variant of the Mi 11 costs CNY 3,999, which is around Rs 44,740.
The 8GB RAM and 256GB variant comes with a price tag of 4,299 yuan, which is around Rs 48,000. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant comes with a pricetag of CNY 4,699, which is around Rs 52,570
