New Delhi: There is a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, due to which heavy rain is taking place in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Vidarbha and east Madhya Pradesh today.
The Monsoon is likely to advance rapidly over parts of Central and East India in the next two-three days. It may rain in the national capital Delhi during the weekend. It is raining heavily in Mumbai.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), after June 10, heavy rain is expected in eastern India and adjoining central India, especially in the Gangetic region of Odisha and West Bengal and Bihar on June 11, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on June 11-12.
The first low pressure area of this monsoon has formed in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, monsoon will reach Odisha, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, eastern UP, MP and parts of Gujarat.
According to Skymet Weather, heavy rain will continue in coastal Karnataka today. Apart from this, heavy rains will also be seen in Goa, Mumbai. Monsoon will reach Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, eastern Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh from June 11t-13 and these places will see heavy to very heavy rains.
Possibility of rain with strong wind and thunder in these states today
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), today i.e. on June 10, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Sikkim will experience strong wind with speed of 30 kmph.
At isolated places over Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Kerala, there is a possibility of rain and thundershower with speed up to 40 kmph.
Heavy rain likely in these states
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Konkan, Goa and coastal Andhra Pradesh today. Apart from this, heavy rains will occur at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Gujarat region, Telangana and coastal Karnataka.
Pre-monsoon rain likely in most parts of UP
There is a possibility of relief in the coming days from the scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh for the last several days. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of pre-monsoon in many parts of the state by the end of this week.
According to the report of the Zonal Meteorological Center, from June 11, rain is expected in most areas of the eastern parts of UP and at some places in the western parts. At the same time, there is a strong possibility of rain in most parts of the state on June 12.
However, the process of change in weather will start from June 10 itself. During this, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds in many parts of UP.
