New Delhi: The Monsoon has almost arrived in most parts of the country. However, people in most states of North India including Delhi are facing scorching heat.
For the last two days, the mercury in the capital Delhi is continuously increasing. Although, today light rain in many areas can give some relief to the people, but the heat wave will continue for two days.
According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), severe heat wave is prevailing at most places in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, North-West Rajasthan and North-West Madhya Pradesh.
At the same time, heavy rain alert has been issued for many states including Uttarakhand today. So let’s know the latest weather and monsoon conditions.
Monsoon rains will start in Delhi in late July
Mahesh Palawat, vice-president, Skymet Weather, expressed the possibility that in the second week of July, monsoon rains will start over most parts of North India including Delhi NCR. Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 43.1 degree Celsius on Thursday.
On the other hand, heat wave conditions prevailed in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Northwest Rajasthan and Northwest Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.

There will not be much rain in the first week of July
According to IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra, there will not be much rain in the first week of July, however, the rainfall activity may increase in the second half of the second week of the month. “The monthly rainfall over the country as a whole for July 2021 is likely to be normal (94 to 106 per cent of the long period average),” the IMD said.
Alert issued for 21 districts of Bihar
There is a possibility of rain in Bihar in July as well. Alert has been issued in 21 districts till July 5. Let us tell you that it has been raining here for the last several days. People have also faced problems like water logging at places.
Heavy rain warning in six districts of Uttarakhand today
At the same time, a warning of heavy rain has been issued in six districts of Uttarakhand today i.e. on Friday. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in the plains. Keeping this in mind, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert.
