MHA will take decision on trifurcation of current HC of Punjab and Haryana, says CM Manohar Lal Khattar

New Delhi, April 30 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on April 30 informed about the demand kept by Punjab and Haryana to have separate High Courts at the Joint Conferences of CMs which was held with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi and said that the MHA will take the decision on trifurcation of current High Court of Punjab and Haryana. “Since the High Court of Punjab and Haryana is in Chandigarh, there’s a space constraint. So we raised the long-pending demand to have a separate High Court for Haryana. The good thing is, the Punjab CM (Bhagwant Mann) also agreed on this,” the CM said. “We have kept the topic of the trifurcation of the current High Court of Punjab and Haryana. If both the states could build their own High Courts and Chandigarh could also have a smaller High Court of its own. MHA will take the decision on our demand,” he added.
