Manthan 2021 Punjab: There was a time when I mortgaged articles to help people, says Sonu Sood

New Delhi: Actor Sonu Sood’s sister Malvika Sood to contest Punjab Elections 2022 and she is still to decide a party. On Thursday, in News24 Manthan Punjab, he discussed his journey of the past 2 years, how he started and who tagged along. Supporters, haters and also the hurdles, he openly talked about everything.

When he started helping people, he had no clue how to do it but he started it will a good heart and people tagged along. He started with 2200 children’s education in the first wave, today there are 22000. He quoted, “I never think twice before calling somebody I don’t know for somebody I don’t know.”

Talking about politics and his choices, he said, “There are 2 types of thieves, one is normal who will take away your watch, purse, and stuff and the other one is political thieves, they take away your career, education, health, and business. I am not ready to join politics for these reasons only. After getting power, people start enjoying it but i won’t, i cannot say or do what the party says and I don’t agree with it. I believe that dirty people make dirty politics even worse, and to change that you have to be in politics.”

“Many people have this question that where did all the money come, I kept many things on the mortgage in the beginning for helping others who were in need. It was all like backup money that did help me and later with the blessings of people, it all got cleared as well. The money, I didn’t collect from anyone. The brands who booked me, I requested them to contribute money to the cause, simple. This is how today Lakhs of people are connected with me in the cause,” he concluded.
