Manchester: Gundogan-powered Manchester City has won the title of the Premier League after defeating Aston Villa by 3-2 in a thrilling game on Sunday evening.
City was trailing behind by 2 goals when Gundogan came to show his game. Three back-to-back goals were all that City required to lift the title trophy. Gerrard’s Villa was looking positing in the start when M.Cash scored the first goal in the 37th minute of the game.
Coutinho furthered the chances of winning with his spectacular goal in the 69th minute and City was goalless at this moment. But a strong comeback from the City turned the table around within the time span of 6 minutes.
Gundogan scored in 76th minute with the assistance of Sterling and the Rodri then kept up with the momentum and scored a minute later, to take the tally equal to Aston Villa.
3 minutes later, Gundogan got his side the lead when he scored the most needed goal of the time.
On other hand, Liverpool gave the best of their efforts to win the title by winning their own game against the Wolves by 3-1. But this was not enough to win the title.
