Mumbai: The Deputy Speaker has issued disqualification notices to 16 rebel MLAs including Eknath Shinde. The rebels have to submit their responses by June 27.
The political instability in Maharashtra is escalating and the situation is turning more extreme. With rebel MLAs of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena fraction issuing a new name for themselves, Shiv Sena Balasaheb, the members and leaders of the Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena have been protesting against this move.
In the wake of the political turmoil in the state, Mumbai police has imposed section 144. The district administration of Thane has also imposed section 144. Thane is the stronghold of rebel leader Eknath Shinde.
