New Delhi: Legendary actor and theatre artist PC Soman passed away at the age of 81. PC Soman took his last breath in Kerala at 4 am on Friday. He was going through some age-related diseases, due to which he couldn’t survive. Soman was a successful theatre artist and then he stepped into the film world.
Soman, who worked in the films of legendary filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishna, was highly praised for his character. His performance was loved not only by the audience but also by film critics. He acted in Adoor Gopalakrishnan films ‘Swayamvaram’, ‘Vibhajan’ and ‘Mathilukal.’ Apart from acting in films like ‘Kaurwar’, ‘Dhruvam’ and ‘Fireman’, Soman has also acted in more than 300 theatre dramas. His performances were loved by the audience and people were fond of watching him.
In his entertainment career, he worked in many serials, not only in theatres and films but also on the small screen. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan lamented the actor’s demise and reminded that Soman, who was active in film and television serials, was also notable for his roles in amateur dramas.
