Last day of campaigning for West Bengal Election 2021 4th phase, voting on April 10

Kolkata: Political infighting in West Bengal is in full swing. Three phases of the West Bengal Election are over. 

Today is the last day of campaigning for the fourth phase. Major leaders of all parties are campaigning to win as many seats as possible. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend four BJP roadshows in different places, while Mamata Banerjee will address three Trinamool Congress (TMC) rallies.

In the fourth phase, votes will be cast on 44 seats on April 10. The fourth phase is considered to be very important because the decision of the fate of many big leaders in this phase will be closed in EVMs.

Election voting is going on in 8 phases in Bengal

Significantly, West Bengal is going to vote in eight phases. Polling has been held for 60 seats in two phases on March 27 and April 1. In the first phase on March 27, the elections were held on 30 assembly seats in 5 districts, in which 79.79 percent voters exercised their franchise. 

After this, on April 1, in the second phase, 80.53 percent voting was held in 30 assembly seats in 4 districts. Polling will be held for 31 seats in the third phase, 44 seats in the fourth phase, 45 seats in the fifth phase, 43 seats in the sixth phase, 36 seats in the seventh phase and 35 seats in the eighth phase. Voting will now take place on April 6, April 10, April 17, April 22, April 26 and April 29, while the election results will come on May 2.
