Earlier on Tuesday, Lalu Yadav said he will ensure “visarjan” (immersion) of ruling NDA in Bihar.
Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on Tuesday, responded to the remarks of his main opponent and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s statement on ensuring the “visarjan” (immersion) of ruling NDA government in the state.
Speaking to mediapersons, Nitish Kumar said, “He (Lalu Yadav) can get me shot. He can’t do anything else. If he wants, he can get me shot…”
Earlier in the day, the RJD chief targetted the ruling NDA alliance in Bihar. The remarks came just ahead of the scheduled by-election for Assembly seats.
Lalu Yadav also said, “Nitish Kumar has been eulogised by Prime Minister Modi and BJP. Everyone was sloganeering ‘desh ka PM kaisa ho Nitish kumar jaisa ho’ (A PM should be like Nitish). He was being touted as PM material…such arrogance and greed.”
Lalu Yadav, who was accused in number of fodder scams and was serving jail term, returned to Bihar after over 3 years. He was undergoing treatment at Ranchi’s Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences for two years, and was later shifted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in January.
