Kia to launch its first electric car in India

New Delhi: The market for electric cars in India is growing tremendously.  Many car manufacturers are continuously launching their new and updated models in the brand market.  

Now two giant companies Hyundai and Kia are going to launch two electric cars in India. 

Currently, the Tata Nexon EV rules this segment and the rest of the car companies are trying to give it a tough competition.

This is Kia’s first all-electric car to be based on the Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).  This electric vehicle platform has been developed by the Hyundai Group. This will be the company’s first electric car in India.

This will be the company’s first electric car in India.  Like the rest of Kia’s cars, this car will also have amazing features.  After the launch of this car in India, customers will have another great option in the EV segment.

Hyundai to launch Kona Electric

Hyundai will launch its Kona Electric in the market this year.  

It was made available for sale in the country for the first time in July 2019.  Kona Electric price starts at Rs 23.79 Lakh.  High-voltage EVs use DC motors.  It comes with a peak power output of 134 hp.  It has 395 Nm of maximum torque.  

It takes 6 hours 10 minutes to charge with a regular charger, while the fast charger does the job in just 57 minutes (0-80%).  Driving range is 452 km.
