Kashmir: Two terrorists killed in Bijbehara encounter, search operation on

Aasif Suhaf, Srinagar: Two unidentified terrorists have been killed throughout an early morning encounter on the Bijbehara space of Anantnag in southern Kashmir.

Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the slain terrorists. The identification of the terrorists killed in the course of the gunfight are being ascertained.

The encounter broke out between the terrorists and the safety forces in Waghama space in Bijbehara belt of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday morning.

Official sources mentioned that two terrorists have been killed in the trade of fireplace and a search operation is on in the world.

Earlier a joint workforce of police, military and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a cordon and search operation upon receiving particular details about the presence of terrorists in the world. As the joint workforce of safety forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, which prompted a retaliation, triggering an encounter.

Sources mentioned {that a} terrorist related to the Islamic State in Jammu and Kashmir (ISJK) is among the many slain. According to the police, this terrorist was concerned in an assault on the CRPF in Bijbehara final Friday.

A CRPF soldier and a 5-year-old have been killed in that terrorist assault.

This is 17th encounter in the Kashmir valley in the month of June in which up to now 52 terrorists have been killed.
